Both heated screens now fitted, with the centre bar polished up. I just need to wire them up.
Welcome
This presentation gives a pictoral overview of the on going restoration of this former North Western Road Car bus, the vehicle was registered in October of 1971 and was first allocated to Stockport depot however on the break up of the company she was then transferred to Crosville Motor Services and allocated to Northwich depot and eventually painted in the NBC green livery. In the 1980's she was then restored by Crosville and was put back into the North Western red and cream livery for the 75th anniversary celebrations of North Western and used as a private hire vehicle as a tachograph was so fitted, you can see the pictures of her time at Crosville and when she was new.
She was then sold and passed into preservation being owned by George Garston of Chester, then George let her go and she was then operated by Hollis of Queensferry and used on school work. Hollis then sold her to Northern Bus of Sheffield for further service and she then went back into preservation being owned by Jane Dicker of Hastings and then onto myself.
I would like to thank the following people for helping me restore her; Ray Jones,Steve Graham,Neil Haliday, Ian Hunter and Jones Motor Services of Flint. Without there help I could not have completed her.
If you have any information on her history or pictures then please let me know.
Roger Downs, Chester.

IMGP0004.jpg   Outside Macclesfield Town Football Club. I was asked by Cheshire County Council to take my bus to the opening of the new bus station at Macclesfield, this was because North Western opened the original one and it was felt that a vehicle from that company would be fitting. The new bus station was opened by the mayor and MP of Macclesfield.  Restoration of North Western 382  (216)

These are the actual buses that I own in model format. One has been produced by the London Transport Museum for its 'Victoria Coach Station' range. Which is only available from themusuem either on'line or through the shop.
The other model is a reworked EFE model from their excellant 1:76 range of castings.

This is my other vehicle a former Crosville coach. She is pretty much restored but does require the usual maintance to keep her going.
She was new in May 1969 and was allocated to Chester depot and used on tours and private hire's,etc.
These luxury coaches were the pinnacle of vehicles as they featured air suspension, Webasto heating and ample leg room.
